ICDS department starts COVID-19 awareness campaign in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 05: ICDS Department today launched an awareness programme to sensitize the common masses about the protection against COVID-19 infection through its field functionaries.
Project Officer, ICDS, Attar Chand said that the main objective of organizing this campaign is to make field staff aware about  COVID-19 disease and its control measures. He   added that that awareness generation is the most potent tool in combating COVID-19. He said that door-to-door awareness generation at grassroots level will be carried out by corona warriors of ICDS such as Supervisors and Anganwadi workers in the rural areas.
District Social Welfare Officer, Er Sajad Bashir Somberia also spoke on the occasion. He urged the participants to adhere to social distancing and wearing facemasks for preventing the spread of the CoronaVirus. 
CDPO Udhampur, Yashpaul Sharma and  CDPO Ghordi  Sanjeev Sharma also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the COVID containment measures.
Supervisor and Anganwadi workers also shared their field experience and measures taken for containment of COVID.
