DM Kishtwar distributes free ration among interstate migrants, labourers
KISHTWAR, APRIL 03: District Magistrate Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara today distributed free dry ration among the stranded migrants, labourers and needy persons.
The DM was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan  Parihar , Tehsildar, Parmod Kumar, A D , FCS&CA, TSO, Red Cross Volunteers besides other concerned.
The DM informed that till date about 627 needy people from 208 families have been provided with packs of dry ration of 37 Kg to each family. He further informed that 37 kg pack of ration distributed among destitute including 10 kg rice, 10 kg flour and 17 kg cooking oil, potato, sugar, salt, milk, tea, spices and other essentials.
The DM directed all the establishments to provide wages of lock down period to the workers without any deductions besides all the landlords/owners have been asked not to demand rent from any tenants for one month.
To facilitate the stranded persons of district Kishtwar who are stuck in different parts of country, the district administration has appointed ACR Kishtwar, Dr Amir Hussain as Nodal officer. ALC Kishtwar Anoop Kumar has been designated as Nodal Officer for Inter-State migrant labour and workers of different parts of country who are stranded in Kishtwar.
