Shopian district administration distributes ration among migrant labourers at Keegam
SHOPIAN, APRIL 03: Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin, Tehsildar Keegam, Zubair Ahmad Parra along with Naib Tehsidar, TSO Keegam in close coordination with Hanfiya Auqaf Committee Keegam distributed ration among the stranded migrant labourers at Govt Hr Sec School Keegam, today.
On the occasion the officers informed the labourers that to combat the Covid-19 disease, the district administration has imposed lockdown to maintain social distancing, a precautionary measure to fight the deadly pandemic. They were advised to adhere to the advisories issued by district administration for safety of lives.
Tehsildar Keegam said that the district administration is trying to avoid the spread of Corona virus by way of creating mass awareness regarding the pandemic and preventive measure thereof, through media, announcements and village to village visits.  
He added that the district administration, Shopian has framed a comprehensive plan for smooth distribution of free ration among poor families and labourers.
