DDC tours Kund, Waltangoo, assesses damage caused to horticulture sector
Reviews stock position of essentials
KULGAM, NOVEMBER 13: DDC Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat today along with team of officers conducts extensive tour of Kund, Waltangoo and various villages in district Kulgam to assess the damage caused to horticulture sector due to recent snowfall.
He also reviewed the supply and stock position of essentials and snow clearness in the area.
The DDC visits several damaged orchards and met various public deputations from the area who apprised him about the damage caused to their orchards.
On the occasion DDC said that teams have been constituted to assess the damage caused to the orchards.
He also enquired from the local populace about the availability of essentials in the area and directed the officers to address the issues and grievances of people on priority basis. He also added that Waltnagoo Nard is avalanche prone and all requisite steps are in place to tackle any eventuality. He added that the disaster centres equipped with men and machinery have been already setup in the area.
DDC also inspected Razloo and Kund health centres and took stock of health services being provided to the locals. He also inspected various wards and interacted with patients.
Later DDC visits Ziyarat Shareef  Noorshah Bagdadi(RA) at Kund and took stock of pace of constructional work at the Ziyarart shareef.
